what to do when you have writers block!
Writers block is a common thing among writers. Even though many writers do not believe in the term, every now and then you can get stuck writing. Technically speaking many authors and writers may not use the term writer’s block, but it still happens, from time to time. I am going to focus on three things you can do to help you with your writing when you get stuck.
Miles Davis
Miles Davis was brilliant in his day playing the trumpet. His style of play always exuded a sense of calm and relaxation. So, if you have a Miles Davis cd laying around in your basement or your bedroom put in in your cd player and just grab a bottle of wine and relax for a while. Who knows, maybe you do not have any cd player, but you happen to have a smart speaker, then just ask Alexa to play songs by Miles Davis.
You may be saying to yourself, is that really all it takes to play some Miles Davis? Once you turn on his music he will take you to another place on earth and your mind will be free once again to write effortlessly.
Take a nap
Many times you find yourself trying to write that epic novel that will be a best seller, but before you know it its 1am and now you are staring at the screen and all you see if that blinking cursor on the blank screen. You have wrote for hours, now all of the sudden you simply cannot write anymore. The issue that is causing you to have writers block is you are getting more and more tired. So instead of trying to write 20 thousand words a day. Go to sleep and write only when you are well rested. You will see for yourself once you had 8 to 10 hours of sleep you will again be able to write again.
Write Alone
I know you are busy at night, you are tired from your day job, so you try and write at home while the kids are awake, the wife is also working from home. Writing when everyone is home is not a good look. Ideally what you want to do is write when your mind is free from distractions. That time is 3am. I know 3am or 4am may not be for everyone, but think about it. The kids are asleep, the dog is asleep, and your wife is asleep. The only one awake is you. If for some reason you are not a morning person then you can do the same thing at night when everyone is asleep around midnight. Writing alone is great because your mind really can have a huge imagination, you can be creative and you will be freely to think.
I hope you are better off now
Now that I gave you 3 crucial tips about how to avoid writers block, I really hope you are better off now with your writing. Feel free to share some of your tips for when you may have writers block with your writing. I will see you again soon next time with the next blog post. Until then happy writing.

Why i wrote the book, "What Men Want in a Woman"
Monday, March 15, 2021
Sharing a few Excerpts with you about my upcoming books.
Hello everyone I wanted to share some excerpts with you of a few books I will be publishing soon. As you are well aware all of these lock downs and with everyone staying home I found time to write in this pandemic. It was kind of hard to do with everyone working from home and the kids doing virtual learning, but I found a way. You are the first to see these excerpts so feel excited.
My writing style has been mostly about family, parenting and relationships, dating and love and as you will see in these excerpts I do not disappoint. The first excerpt that I am sharing with you is actually part of a series, believe it or not, but it was supposed to be the first book in the series. The story behind this book and the reason I wrote it is so father's will know what it takes to be a perfect dad. They will also take responsibility and take pride in being that perfect dad.
How you treat your kids, and the models you set in your conduct, instructs them about existence. Regardless of how old your youngsters, there is genuine force in being a parent!
In the event that you don't utilize this force, or on the off chance that you abuse it, kids can feel useless, unreliable, and not ready to learn and accomplish their maximum capacity. At that point their frames of mind and practices will neutralize their training and their accomplishment in managing life.
Indeed, it's actual—you are not by any means the only power that shapes your youngsters' lives. Their own science has a ton to do with how they develop and respond, and they are under different impacts constantly. Be that as it may, you can have a state about how these different powers influence your kids. You can assist them with comprehension and assess the individuals they meet.
The second book is for all those parents dealing with empty nest syndrome. It will be book number 3 in the parenting series. We all been there at one point in our lives, when our children leave the house to be on their own. We have a
sense of empty feeling when they leave. You are also dealing with trying to find and reignite the flames of your relationship that somehow disappeared and put the passion back that was lost. Or you may feel so empty that your children left that you do not feel the passion for your husband or wife. The empty nest syndrome is somewhat overlooked and it should not be. That is why I wrote this book so parents will know how to navigate this situation and enjoy some of the best years of your life.
Sometimes the marriage is too child-centered to the detriment of a couple. It is crucial that couples who join every stage of marriage commit to keeping the relationship "partner-centric." The love relationship of the couple is central in their everyday lives in a "we-centric" marriage. This helps your love to flow to your children and others. The Church makes it clear that couples are called in an unusual way to love one another. A healthy way to redefine marriage is to lecture your marital vows.
The third book is also part of a series it is the relationship series this will be the third book in the series. his book is for adults only. This book is for couples who are married or not. This book deals with the lover who is not experienced in the bedroom. I then share and discuss sexual, positions and methods for the uneducated lover. Ultimately by following these methods you will know how to please your lover and always make him or her happy. The main goal with this book is when you make your lover happy it makes the whole relationship that much better. You can find the perfect man or woman to spend the rest of your life together, but the sad truth is if you do not know how to please them they will not stick around and you will find yourself all alone and single. So that is why I wrote this book to help everyone to stay in a thriving healthy relationship.
Sex must be a beautiful union of two people in aspects of the mind, body, and spirit. There are a particular time and place for each style of making love.Deciding what part of yourself you feel comfortable expressing and sharing, in a way that is reciprocated and appreciated, can be difficult. Tantric sex is a method and a philosophy, which goes behind what, can be very pleasant and enriching in the bedroom.Eastern guidelines are like a tool to extend and maximize pleasure while encouraging spiritual and mental connections between lovers."In Tantra, all faculties - physical, mental, emotional are stimulated with as much force as possible, then they are controlled, to take you every time to higher levels of pleasure."

My Writing Style
My Writing Style
Every writer has his or her own writing style. Some styles may be a bit unorthodox or a bit crazy. Some people can only write at their desk. Some of us cannot write until midnight when the kids are asleep. Then again, some of us may be single and have the ability to write all day.
Then some of us may be a bit formal and boring. As long as, we get the pen to the paper and we are not staring at a blinking cursor for 5 hours, then that is a measure of success.
My style
I am sharing my style of writing with you to help other writers to also write. We can also share tactics as, I like to give back and help other writers. On a side note I am working on a resource page for writers to help them get in touch with different experts and professionals in the industry to illustrators and cover designers to copy writers and much more.
When you are just starting out with self publishing, you may not have hundreds of dollars to hire a professional designer for your book cover. So, that is why I am curating this list of professionals, because a few of these professionals will design a professional cover for you for under $60. Never be fooled into thinking you have to spend 2,3 or 400 or 600 for a professional cover.
Back to my writing style, I kind of got off topic in that last chapter, but like I said, I like to give back anyway I can, so I will post this curated list soon.
Unorthodox
My style is a bit unorthodox in the sense, I can write and my brain can be free as it can be and I can write for hours. Yes, my writing can flow just under one condition. Its quiet. For me to write it has to be quiet and either I must be alone or everyone is asleep at midnight. Another thing I like to do is turn off all distractions, I stay off the internet, social media, turn off the house phone ringer, and cell phone.
Writing in a sense is a gift handed down to us at birth. We just do not realize we have this gift until later on in life, as you cannot write as a baby or toddler. Once you start to write when you are older you'll know if you have it or not if you enjoy it and can write freely, but you have to turn off the distractions to let your mind be free and do its magic. There is no fun in sitting down to write then you start shopping on Amazon.com then fall asleep after shopping for 3 hours and never bought anything.
For me the best time to write is either at 11pm or 4am when everyone is sleeping. You need to find the time in your house when you will be alone for at least 4 hours. Another tip I will give you is to turn off the cable news. I can be a news junkie at times and the problem with cable news is they will spend 10 hours talking about one story. Before you know it you have spent 5 hours watching cable news since you been home from your day job. Now it is 10pm and you are starting to fall asleep and you did not write anything down. So, if you really want to be a writer and are looking for a daily writing style. Follow these steps.
Turn off distractions
Turn off cable news at 6pm.
Only write when you are alone.
Be committed.
Be serious
Be determined.
Try to write daily.
Write as many words you can without editing.
That pretty much sums up everything you need to write. I really hope you learned some tips from my writing style. Remember always reach out to me if you need any advice or tips. You can leave a comment on here below, or just send me an email. Author.daltonsmith@icloud.com.
My ideal writng space
My ideal writing space is a quiet and quaint desk, it can also be next to the fireplace with a nice fire going. Or the backyard on a nice sunny day.
What inspires me to write?
Its you that inspires me to write. Knowing that you like to read my books and that those books have helped you with a particular situation in your life is what keeps me inspired to write more and more each day. When I am able to teach my readers something that means a lot to me and is truly inspiring. I'm actually in the process of finishing a few manuscripts right now. These manuscripts have been on my shelf for quite some time now, but the pandemic has slowed things down with my publishing process. I finally got around to finally finish them so you can read them of course.
Writing tip for you
One tip I will leave you with is to write the best book you can write you need to write the perfect outline. Your outline is like your books road map, it keeps you in flow and puts everything in order, it also helps you to write freely. Only if you write a good outline, because a poor outline will make you write a poor book. Nobody wants to read a poor book!
Luckily nowadays you can download a mind map app for your android or apple device. I strongly suggest you get a mind map app it will be the best thing you can do.
Try one of these below and you will be thanking me when you see your manuscripts come alive after you start using these apps.
Simplemind
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.modelmakertools.simplemindfree&hl=en_US&gl=US
Mindly
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dripgrind.mindly&hl=en_US&gl=US
They both are free, but of course if you want to share the mindmap you have to upgrade. So, while you cant print it or share it. The main thing you want to do is just save it to your device. So enjoy and happy writing. Share with me some of your writing styles in the comments below.
